Application Guidelines
Are you Eligible?
Applicants must have a history of mental illness and provide supporting documentation from a healthcare professional indicating that this illness has caused significant barriers to achieving career goals
Funds Amount
Amount of awards distributed will be based on funds available for the current year. Funds will be awarded based on the perceived value the educational experience will have on the Applicant's future career goals.
How often can I Apply?
Only one application per person, per year will be considered. First consideration will be given to the Applicants who have not previously been awarded funding.
After Completion of Courses
Successful applicants must provide a summary following completion of the educational opportunity of how the award helped in achieving their career goals.
VOCEC Educational Award
The VOCEC Educational Award Fund was established to provide scholarships to enable individuals with a history of serious mental illness to develop skills necessary to achieve their career goals through academic or practical training.
How to Apply
Supporting Documentation
Obtain supporting documentation from your healthcare professional (not necessary for Associates of VOCEC).
Complete the Form
Download and complete a Educational Award Application Form.
Send the Form
Submit application and supporting documentation before June 15th of the current year.
