VOCEC Educational Award

The VOCEC Educational Award Fund was established to provide scholarships to enable individuals with a history of serious mental illness to develop skills necessary to achieve their career goals through academic or practical training.
Joining the VOCEC Board of Directors

Do you have skills related to business, marketing or advertising? Are you a financial person? Have you been involved in policy development or planning? Do you have previous board experience? Do you like to be creative or take on challenges? Are you someone who experienced mental illness or would like to learn about it?
If you answered yes to any of these questions and can devote 2-3 hrs of your time per month, please consider joining the VOCEC Board of Directors.
About Us

VOCEC is a non-profit corporation, established to create and provide employment. The corporation is run by a community volunteer Board of Directors responsible for overseeing social enterprise businesses in the Kingston Area.
The corporation is a member of Kingston Chamber of Commerce and achieves its mandate through community economic development. Over 120 individuals work in several affirmative businesses including Hands on Carwash, Book Ends Café, Contract Factory and Little Green Thumb.
Most associates are employees of the corporation; others are business partners with profit sharing remuneration. All Social Enterprises strive to remove barriers individuals may face, while accessing or participating in the workforce.
